2007 Acura TSX — Known Trouble Spots

The systems that tend to fail first on the 2007 Acura TSX, with the typical mileage window when each becomes a concern. Detailed repair-cost ranges and exact what-to-check inspection notes are in the full report.

1
A/C Systemmoderate~70,000-120,000 mi

The A/C compressor clutch relay (Omron G8HL-H71) is a notorious failure point, causing the A/C to blow warm or not engage. If ignored, it can lead to premature compressor failure. Compressors themselves also wear out with age.

2
Power Steering Systemmoderate~60,000-110,000 mi

Common complaints include a whining power steering pump and fluid leaks. Often, the whine is due to a faulty O-ring on the inlet hose (TSB 07-006) allowing air into the system, not a bad pump. Leaks can also occur from the rack and pinion.

3
Suspension Bushingsmoderate~80,000-130,000 mi

The front lower control arm compliance bushings are a common wear item, leading to clunking noises over bumps, vague steering, or uneven tire wear. Rear sway bar end links can also wear.

Full repair-cost ranges, fix-before-you-buy notes, and inspection checklists are in the report.

90,000

Elevated Risk Zone

Wear items like suspension bushings and potentially the A/C clutch relay become more likely. Continue diligent maintenance and listen for new noises or changes in driving feel.
