Mid-Life Checkpoint

Beyond initial sorting, this is where you'd want a comprehensive battery health check. Routine maintenance like brake fluid flush and tire rotation/replacement becomes more critical.

90,000

Elevated Risk Zone

Past the typical major component warranty for some parts, this mileage brings increased scrutiny on the main drive unit, high-voltage contactors, and potential for more noticeable battery capacity loss.

120,000+

High Risk Zone

While BMW EVs are engineered for longevity, at this point, major EV components like the battery pack or primary drive unit may require significant attention or replacement, which can be very costly.

2023 BMW i4 Ownership Cost Outlook

What it typically costs to keep the 2023 BMW i4 on the road. Full 5-year cost-of-ownership projection and major-failure-risk forecast are in the report.
